FAQ
Before you send anything.
Is the free recency check really free?
Yes. Send your licence, authorizations and the last two years of logbooks or experience reports, and you get a one-page summary on both bases. No card needed. If you want new roles, you can also join our talent pool.
Is your recency assessment an official decision?
No. The final decision belongs to the Part-145 organisation that issues your authorization, or to your authority. We apply 66.A.20(b)(2), AMC 66.A.20(b)2 and 145.A.35(c) to your records and show the numbers, so everyone can see exactly where you stand.
What is the difference between "current on internal authorization" and "current on logbook experience"?
Internal authorization means an organisation has issued you a valid certifying authorization and you have at least six months as certifying staff in the last two years; per type, the organisation's own similar-aircraft groups apply. Logbook experience means your task records alone show at least 100 working days in the last two years. Quality departments may ask for either, so we state both.
Can I get a recency letter for one aircraft type only?
Yes, with the Career File or Career Care. Tell us the types, category (B1, B2 or both), period and the organisation it is for. You get a letter addressed to them with only the relevant authorizations, task records and originals attached.
Is there a minimum number of tasks, like 180 in six months?
Not in the EASA rules. Some organisations add their own targets in their exposition; tell us and we will show that count too.
Which documents can you read?
AMOS experience reports, company logbook and practical record exports, authorization certificates, recency and experience letters, type training records and scanned paper logbooks.
Do I pay anything to be placed in a job?
No. Job matching, representation and placement are free for every engineer. The employer pays our fee when you start. Paid plans cover the CV review and the recency review, which you keep whether or not you take a role through us.
Do I get my money back if you find me a job?
Yes. If you start a contract or permanent role through Hangarside within 12 months of buying your Career File, we refund what you paid in full. For Career Care, we refund your first year. The refund is paid within 30 days of your start date.
Can I get a Career File for free?
Yes: refer three licensed engineers who join the talent pool, and your Career File is on us. Tell us their names in your request.
What happens to my documents?
They are used only to prepare your files. Nothing is shared with an employer without your written OK for that specific role. When you send them, you choose: deleted 30 days after delivery, or kept for up to 2 years after our last contact so we can update your files and present you for roles. Career Care and the talent pool need the 2-year option. You can withdraw it and ask for deletion at any time with one email.
What if my files are late?
If we don't deliver within 3 working days of receiving complete documents, we refund you in full. If something is missing, the clock starts when it arrives, and we tell you what is missing within one working day.
